Exciting Blackfoot exhibition

Medium:
Videotheatre with special effects

Client:
Kunsthal Rotterdam

Communication goal:
The Kunsthal in Rotterdam shows from September 27, 2003 until January 11, 2004 an exhibition about the Blackfoot Indians. The exhibition comes from Canada. Wennekes Multimedia was asked to design an attraction with both educational and attractive elements, to be shown at the entrance of the exhibition. The attraction has to give a pure and conscientious view over the rich and complex Blackfoot Indians culture.

Result:
Forty visitors sitting in a tipi experience an overwhelming audio-visual journey in the history of the Blackfoot Indians. A storyteller is the guide through three important Blackfoot stories about the creation, the lessons of the animals and the dances. Special audio- and other effects guarantee an experience for the visitors as if they are actually present at the hunt for the buffaloes and the dances. From the first day this attraction has proved to be an enormous success and the exhibition draws a record amount of visitors.
